I was taking some photos for a different blog post when this scene presented itself. That’s blind Willie, a recent arrival, on the cot. Blind Callie the Dachshund, who has no sense of ‘personal space boundaries,’ loves to share other dogs’ beds, cots, and … why yes, their food, too. So here she was contemplating climbing up and snuggling next to Willie.
Apparently she wasn’t getting good vibes from Beagle Boy because then she shot me this perplexed look. I think that’s a "I don’t think he’s inviting me to join him" expression. (Notice the furrowed Dachshund brow.) A few moments later, upon further reflection, she wandered off in search of friendlier accommodations.
