Daisy hiding in round bed

Alayne saw a shape moving inside a round bed in the living room yesterday afternoon, so she stopped and said, "Who's in there?"  Immediately there was the sound of a small animate object scurrying forward and then out popped little Daisy's head.  Then Daisy disappeared back into the bed.

Alayne went to get the camera, came back, got the shot above of the lump under the cover, and then called out again, "Who's in there?"  A couple of seconds later, here came Daisy once more:

Now, please note that this otherwise fine bed was designed for dogs to sleep on top of it, not inside it.  But obviously some small, scurrying creatures with sharp teeth (rats?  Dachshunds?) had other ideas on how best to use it.

Could this be the original Hide-A-Bed?

That is hilarious! I am laughing so hard. I love the, who’s in there? & how she answers with the head popping out. This is further proof they do know what we are saying. (ah, when they want to)

That is halarious! i think you may need some of those pocket type beds they make for cats for your “router rooter” doggies. They have a hooded type cover so the animal feels enclosed & more snuggly. It’s good that you didn’t miss Daisy & go outside looking around for her!

Daisy is completely adorable! I hope that no other dog comes in and sits on her. That would be a huge surprise.

How funny that she pops her head out when you ask who’s in there. Dumb animals? I think not. I was excited to see that RDR moved up to 5 today in the shelter challenge voting. We can’t stop recruiting others to vote. Other rescue organizations who dropped down in the standings will now try harder and we don’t want to lose any ground. So get just one additional person to vote – and vote on the weekend, too! We appreciate this blog and all their hard work, so let’s help them!

I just hope one of the “big kids” doesn’t decide they want that bed…they could be in for a rude realization that some beds have teeth! Too funny!

You know, if she popped her head out just right, she would look like a large ladybug with no legs. 😉

What a funny little furbug. She must think she found a great toy. The prior post about looking like a lady bug was hysterical. I’m new, but I’ve been voting, hope it helps.
