Cinder for Halloween

Alayne got this photo of blind Cinder on Saturday afternoon, looking somewhat worried … as if she might have missed Halloween.  Fortunately, Alayne assured Cinder she hadn't missed out on any festivities, and that her black cat costume would be perfect for trick-or-treating that evening.

Black cats are tough to photograph so congrats for getting all her facial features and expression! My black cat usually comes out looking like a black ball with yellow eyes.

Yes, this is an excellent photograph of Cinder. (The trick to photographing black cats is lots of light –and if necessary, a bit of overexposure, to bring out the texture of their fur). As a feline lover, I enjoy hearing news of your cats and wish you’d tell us about them more often.

She reminds me of our black Sam. He spent Halloween sleeping on our bed.

    That is a concerned look!
Cinder is beautiful and everytime I see her I think how fortunate she was to come to the ranch; have her kittens and now they are ranch hands!
Thanks for the cat post..we love the kitties!!
