Molly in cat tree

In what will be a family reunion of sorts, three-legged Molly is now on her way to her new home in Spokane, Washington — where she will be reunited with our own three-legged Bunny.  Yes, the same wonderful folks who adopted Bunny from us two years ago this month, Tia and Karl M., asked if they could adopt Molly as well.  We were thrilled they wanted to add Molly to their family, and delighted to know that Molly will have Bunny as a companion again!

On Friday, a ground pet transportation company, We Move Pets, came by to pick up Molly and take her back out west.  (Gale Lang of TLC Pet Transport, who we used to bring the animals out from Montana, wasn't able to take Molly.)

I took the photo of Molly on Thursday in the new cat room on the second floor of the barn.  We had just moved them in there the day before, after the flooring was put in.  It's not quite finished … you can see we don't have the molding in at the edge of the floor yet, but it will match the pine trim around the windows and should be completed on Monday.  Also going in this week will be baseboard heaters.

(Molly said, "What, I just moved in here and now I'm leaving?")

Tia and Karl, thank you for adopting this beautiful girl!

It couldn’t happen to a nicer cat! What a wonderfully happy ending for Molly – – moving back in with her old roommate in her new forever home. Best wishes, Molly, and also to Bunny and to their owners.

Molly is such a beauty. I know she’ll be happy to see Bunny again! She is definitely racking up the travel miles. I’m glad she is going to a forever home, thank you Tia & Karl M.
This is the 2nd time in a couple of blogs you have referenced something happening 2 years ago. I remember both of the blogs you have mentioned & it is unbelievable to me that it has been 2 years since I read those. Time sure does fly!!!

Tia & Karl how lucky can you be?? First you get to have Bunny now you get to have beautiful Molly too! What a great household full of pets you have. I know the dogs will approve too. Lucky, lucky family. Thank you Steve & Alayne for giving Molly & Bunny such a great place to live until their new forever family came to get them (so to speak). I think Molly will get over having to move from the NEW cat room to a new HOME. Look out dogs at Tia & Karls, the balance of power is about to shift ;). Anne

I love when you include previous stories about the pets you mention in your blogs. Like the one when Bunny was adopted. I re-read it and reread several posts after it. I got to the “I heart Margaret” post from 9/24/08. She is adorable! I want to say…I heart Margaret too.

So “Bunny” is a kitty? Does Bunny have issues with being named Bunny if she is a kitty? If “she” is a “he”, well, that’s a whole new set of issues…..Oh, I’m so confused, but congrats!!!

I too went back and read the story of sweet Bunny.
I bet Molly knows that she has been adopted and will be very excited about this last long distance trip. Animals often know these things.
All the best Molly in your new home. We are looking forward to hearing updates.
