The November/ December issue of Bark Magazine has just come out with a wonderful feature story on the sanctuary. In the magazine’s preview of the article, they described it as "A visit to the amazing Rolling Dog Ranch — a sanctuary for disabled animals in Big Sky country — get inspired!"

We actually haven’t seen it yet (!), but people who have tell us it’s a six-page article illustrated with lots of photos, some of them full-page.  I’m heading into Missoula tomorrow and will get a copy of the magazine then.

You can find Bark at Barnes & Noble, Borders, Books-A-Million, Chapters (in Canada), Wild Oats, and Whole Foods, among other retail outlets. Bark does not post their articles online so purchasing a copy of the magazine is the only way to read the story.

I wrote to Claudia Kawczynska, editor of Bark, in late May, telling her that she ought to have a story about the ranch. I didn’t get an answer, but maybe the message got through.

Well I went to town to Missoula today and looked everywhere for the Nov/Dec issue of Bark. All I found was the Sept/Oct issue still on display. Hopefully that will change soon. I have a feeling that there is going to be a run on the new issue in this area. I know I will be checking every day to make sure I get a copy.

Congratulations!! You and Alayne and all the wonderful volunteers, vets, etc. are just about my favorite people in the world, and I haven’t even met you in person yet! You deserve all the recognition for giving these special animals a safe place to be loved and protected. A place where they also get to be who they are, warts and all.
