Today’s edition of USA Today has a wonderful feature article on the sanctuary in the Life section.  We haven’t seen the actual paper yet — we’re 60 miles from the nearest USA Today box! — but the story is now online here.

The online version doesn’t have any photos posted (so far) but the print version has three photos to go along with the story.

What a wonderful article in USA Today !!! Thank god for people like you who realize how special all of our four legged friends are, especially those who are disabled and need that extra care. Animals love unconditionally !!! something maybe we could learn from them. Keep up the great work !!! I applaud people like you ….

What a wonderful article in USA Today !!! Thank god for people like you who realize no matter what disability a animal may have, they still have the capability of loving unconditionally … Maybe that’s something we could all learn from these wonderful animals. Other than that they got Lena’s name wrong, its a lovely story! I am so happy to see all the press RDR is getting – hopefully this will translate into donations, too!

Totally awesome article in the USA Today this morning. The story brought tears to my eyes. What a wonderful committment you folks have made to these abused or disabled animals. May God bless you and your continued efforts to help these animals lead a normal life.

Thank you for doing what you do. If there were more people like you in this world, there would be a lot less death and destruction.

I read the article overnight while on breat at my job. It is so awesome what you are doing. You could have retired from your careers and enjoyed an easy retirement but you have taken a more noble road. It is awesome all the time, money, and effort that you put into this. I will be sure to make a contribution soon.

This article made my day if not my week! I just returned home to the US from living abroad for nearly 5 years. It felt as though as soon as I returned to the states I was bombarded with these hideous news stories.
When I came across the USA today article my eyes lit up and I felt so inspired and comforted. Thank you to Alayne and all the workers at Rolling Dog for being such amazing people and giving others like me hope in this world.

I really enjoyed the article in “USA Today” about the RDR! I’ve fowarded it to several friends that I think will enjoy it as well. I think it’s very informative & sheds a great light on what you & Alayne do 24/7 for all the animals in your care.
    Big hugs,

We have been raising a disabled dog since last summer. He suffered two strokes after having surgery. Since we are raising our little guy, we didn’t know that there was a place like this. I felt that the article was fantastic. And I hope that by reading the article, people will realize that continuing to care for a disabled pet instead of putting it down has many of its own rewards. If anyone is interested, we would be happy to share our story about Gizmo. Now that we know about the ranch, we will be sharing it with all pet lovers that we know. Bless you. Keep up the good work.
