Blind Penny Gets Adopted!

A wonderful couple from Missoula, Andrea C. and Seth N., came out this weekend to the ranch and adopted blind Penny!  Andrea first emailed us a week ago to ask about Penny, and after a flurry of follow-up emails, Andrea and Seth decided to come and visit with Penny on Saturday.  They brought along their other dog, 11-year old Sydney, to meet Penny too.  After all, everyone in the family needs to agree on an adoption — especially the other dog!

It doesn’t take much to fall in love with Penny, and pretty soon they decided to take Penny home and make her part of their family.  I talked with Andrea this evening, who said Penny had made herself at home and settled right in.  On Saturday night … Penny’s first night there … Andrea’s 7-year old nephew stayed over, and Penny slept next to his bed the entire night and never stirred.

Andrea emailed this photo tonight that Seth took of her with Sydney on the left and Penny on the right.

    Yay!!! A good home for Penny – and room for another lucky critter at the ranch :- )))
    Keep up the good work RDR – now that my critters are gone, I like reading about yours (and seeing the pictures)

    Congratulations to Penny and her new family! How exciting that she has another great home now, and because Andrea and Seth made the decision and commitment to Penny, it will allow for Rolling Dog Ranch to continue in providing for another pet in need! Here’s a great big tail wag for Sydney and Penny and may they enjoy each other for a long time and bring Andrea and Seth much joy and happiness!

    Penny’s adoption is a wonderful Easter surprise! I’m so happy for her, Seth and Andrea! Penny looks like a very loving girl and

    Fabulous!!! Congratulations Andrea, Seth, Sydney and Penny! I’ve been smitten with Penny, too, and am certain her join your family is a blessing with many more to follow. I’m sure she’ll be missed @ RDR, but such a wonderful “fairy tail” ending.

    That story just really made me smile and cry. I am so happy for Penny and her new family. God Bless people for seeing that these animals are the perfect ones. I know there is a Sweet Sweet Spirit smiling and woofing up in the heavens down on all of you.
