I sat down at the breakfast table this morning and looked over to see this sight next to me — that's blind and deaf Spinner … or Spin, as we usually call her — sound asleep on the cot. There was something striking about the angles and colors that caught my eye, so I headed to the office to get the camera.

Spinner is such a beautiful and remarkable girl. I love the black spots on her ears. I’ve never met her, but she’s one of my favorites. I always remember Steve’s description of flying to So. Cal. with her to visit a specialist, and the comment that you blew on her face in the crate when you landed so she knew you were there. That really struck me… what a wonderful way you found to communicate with her! She could be the poster child for disabled dogs able to enjoy life.
Last week I said I heart Travis. I heart Spinner, too.

The entry Linda mentioned where you blew to Spin so she’d know you were with her must have been before I discovered your blog. It brought tears to my eyes so now I have to search so I can read the whole story.

Big white dogs are, to me, striking and beautiful, as is Spinner. There is a white German Shepherd at the shelter where I volunteer, who has recently had surgery for ingrown eyelashes, giving him the white and pink look Spin has. They look effervescent! Glad Spinner is so comfy!

I really think that Spinner is just beautiful! I love the way she communicates with the world too! The pink & black on her nose is great along with the solid white! Yup, hands down she is gorgeous! Love you, Spinner!
