I saw blind Callie sitting in front of the TV yesterday morning, as if she were waiting for someone to turn it on for her — or to show her how to use the remote, I guess. Usually we have CNN or CNBC on during the day (muted), though we know she prefers the Food Network. This may have been her way of letting us know it was time for her favorite Food Network show, Boy Meets Grill. She'd like us to send them a proposal for a new show called — what else? — Dining with Dachshunds.

It appears that Miss Callie’s recent health woes have not diminished her appetite or her “girlish figure”! I am right there with you girl. How about changing the name of the current Food Network show to “Diners, Dives, Drive-Ins, & Doxies”!!

Steve you need to send a throw down to Bobby Flay. Callie will be a judge 😉

I was under the impression that Dining With Dachshunds was staged in your home, starring Bailey/Bugsy.

I’ve never thought of switching to the Food Network for our poodles–have to try it. Our Standard is wild about agility competitions featuring Border Collies. Go figure!

Tell Callie to submit a premise the the FN for a cooking show called Cooking With Callie (primarily meat) or Chow Down With Callie (comfort foods) or Callie in the Kitchen (including special Doxie desserts).

Callie was waiting for you to program the TIVO so she can watch herself on the Jack Hanna show. 🙂

Awww Callie – ask Mom and Dad to put the animal channel on – you could watch some of your hunky friends romping about. Dog does not live by food alone, yes? Well – maybe in your case ——-???

Our schnauzer/beagle mix will sit in front of the mirrored closet doors like that. I always wonder what in the world is he thinking?

I’d recognize that beautiful full-figured body anywhere!! It just makes my heart happy to hear the “old” Callie is slowly returning. She’s been through so much.

I love this picture. And my heart swells with joy to hear she is getting back to normal. By the way, is she maybe wanting Animal Planet…naw, that’s a silly question. Food Channel all the way for Miss Callie!!!
