I turned on the TV early this morning and happened to watch a video of your ranch in Montana with Jack Hanna. I was so taken by the program that I looked up your website and have spent the entire day reading each blog from years back to the present day.
All of your furry family members are incredible and what a delight to read about them. I adore animals, have rescued and taken care of several myself. How I would love to do what you do on a 24 7 schedule and reap the happiness that goes along with all the work. Both of you are very special.
Looking forward to Sept 13 to resume reading about a family I feel I have come to know well in just one day.

I miss the blog but it has given me the chance to go back several years and read up on how some of the animals came to the ranch. Like Cinder who arrived with 2 sweet little ‘baggages’ on board and how another dogs’ mystery lump brought wonderful Miss Goldie, she of the squeeker extraction team, to Steve, Alayne and us. It is very renewing to go back and see magnitude of good and kindness Steve & Alayne have given to the world…one little body at a time. There have been some devistating losses over the years. When we take in a little one we know we will most likely outlive them, but we do it anyway knowing the love we share is so worth the eventual heart ache. Thank you for letting us share these animals lives with you and thru you. I appreciate what you do and how you treat them and what you teach others thru your actions. After all, actions speak much louder than words.
I hope you had a nice blog break. Anne.

BTW..did you ever receive the box of catnip mice I made for the cats of RDR? I sent it out a few weeks after Steve got there so the cats could have some new toys in their new place. I hope they got there. I wish I could have gotten some to Herbie and Molly (& Bunny too). Anne
